Beginning in 1966, the Star Trek Franchise was set on the path to becoming one of the greatest movie/TV franchises of all time. Over the years, there have been several TV series spinoffs to go with the original, plus at least ten to twelve different feature films. IGT has modeled this 2011 Star Trek slot game from the 2009 movie version called simply “Star Trek.”
IGT’s game comes with a standard 5 reel, 25 pay line format. It features the Star Trek logo as the wild symbol, which stands in for all other standard symbols with the exception of the “Blue bonus” symbol. The wild only appears on reels 2-4. If two or more scatters appear anywhere on the reels, the player is awarded up to 6 free spins with a 3X multiplier in the Captain Kirk bonus round.
Other bonus games are triggered if a scatter appears on reels 2 & 3 along with one of the other designated game icon symbols. Each of these game icon symbols (Uhura, Spock, and Star Trek) has its own bonus game. Each game provides a variety of extras, including 6-14 free spins, re-triggering free spins, multipliers, random wilds and extra wilds.
